GfL wins contract to optimize and expand de-icing areas at Frankfurt am Main Airport

July 2012 | Airport Planning

The Fraport AG subsidiary N*ICE sees an urgent need for action in the adjustment of de-icing capacities at Frankfurt Airport. In cooperation with TU Dresden, GfL has now been commissioned to carry out the study "Demand analysis and concept development of extended de-icing areas at Frankfurt Airport". GfL is contributing its many years of process knowledge in the ground handling of aircraft as well as its operational experience in the implementation of construction measures for and around airport operating areas. The scientific demand analyses and concept developments for possible extensions are carried out at the Institute for Aviation and Logistics at TU Dresden. The project is expected to present results in mid 2013.
