GfL accompanies an assessment of new building sites on the development area “Gateway Gardens” at Frankfurt/Main Airport

May 2014 | Airport Planning

In August 2013 the impressive building Alpha Rotex was finished. It was built in the eastern approach sector of Frankfurt Airport on basis of a special permit. This permit is based on a safety assessment developed by GfL. The company OFB, owner of several properties on the area, tasked GfL to accompany an assessment of high-rises with special technical and economical requirements. These exceptional buildings are developed as part of an architectural competition. GfL is responsible for all flight safety issues concerning obstacle clearance, wake vortex hazard, external risks and radar compatibility. For the latter, GfL again cooperates with the company FCS (www.flightcalibration.de). The process should be completed in fall.
