GfL finalises assessment on a steep approach procedure at Donauwörth heliport

After the successful reduction of the visibility minima at Airbus Helicopter’s heliport Donauwörth another assessment was contracted. Purpose of this analysis is the feasibility of a 6.3 degrees steep continuous approach procedure. This kind of procedure has the great advantage that the currently used level segment is not required anymore during the approach to maintain appropriate clearance to the power line obstacle. This assessment has been delivered and is now forwarded to the Approving Authorities.
