August 2019 | Engagement

The focus of the 1st National Aviation Conference in Leipzig was the development of a climate and environmentally friendly, competitive and safe air traffic concept in Germany and Europe. To this end, the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi), the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure (BMVI) and the Minister President of the Free State of Saxony invited representatives from research, industry, business and politics to debate technological developments, potentials, digitisation and visions for ensuring future-oriented air traffic. In this context, Professor Fricke gave a lecture on "New Mobility: Drone-Economy" and discussed the associated opportunities and challenges with the experts present.

In future, the National Aviation Conference is to take place every two years in various federal states.

Further information can be found in the BMWi press release or on the homepage of the Chair of Aviation Technology and Logistics at the TU Dresden.
