Advanced Emission Model 2.6.3 and Python Module Delivered to EUROCONTROL

Superseding previous updates, a new version 2.6.3 of the Advanced Emission Model has been developed by GfL and released to the user base by EUROCONTROL after thorough verifications.The update includes a python wrapper that allows performing 4D trajectory emissions calculations from a python analysis environment, a much requested feature from the community. The calculation itself was updated to include the most recent engine reference data as well as the Mission Emissions Estimation Methodology (MEEM v1) for non-volatile particulate matter (nvPM).
Under the hood, there were multiple improvements regarding the overall calculation speed and performance of parallel computing, especially when AEM is embedded as shared library. In-house examples for such use cases comprise IMPACT, R-NEST, FEIS.
